EPID with Malicious Revocation
2021EPID systems are anonymous authentication protocols where a device can be revoked by including one of its signatures in a revocation list. Such protocols are today included in the ISO/IEC 20008-2 standard and are embedded in billions of chips, which make them a flagship of advanced cryptographic tools.

Displays, 2006
Electrophoretic image displays (EPIDs) are a very promising solution in the search for low-power, paper like reflective displays. While the technology is already mature, little is known about the internal physical properties. In this paper, we will describe which elements contribute to the charge transport and give an explanation of the steady state ...

There has been an increasing interest in the application of electronic portal imaging devices (EPIDs) to dosimetric verification, particularly for intensity modulated radiotherapy. Although not water equivalent, the phantom scatter factor of an EPID, is generally assumed to be that of a full phantom, a slab phantom, or a mini phantom.

Catching errors with in vivo EPID dosimetry
Medical Physics, 2010The potential for detrimental incidents and the ever increasing complexity of patient treatments emphasize the need for accurate dosimetric verification in radiotherapy. For this reason, all curative treatments are verified, either pretreatment or in vivo, by electronic portal imaging device (EPID) dosimetry in the Radiation Oncology Department of the ...

WE‐G‐BRB‐02: MU‐EPID an EPID Based Tool for IMRT Quality Assurance
Medical Physics, 2012Purpose: A software program (MU‐EPID) has been developed to perform patient specific IMRT pre‐treatment QA verification using an electronic portal imaging device. Methods: The software converts measured images of intensity modulated beams delivered to an EPID, into fluence maps that can be imported in the treatment planning system. The dose can then be

Generalized EPID calibration for in vivo transit dosimetry
Physica Medica, 2011Many researchers are studying new in vivo dosimetry methods based on the use of Elelctronic portal imaging devices (EPIDs) that are simple and efficient in their daily use. However the need of time consuming implementation measurements with solid water phantoms for the in vivo dosimetry implementation can discourage someone in their use.

The complexity of radiotherapy today demands thorough verification of the dose delivered to the patient. Dosimetry using electronic portal imaging devices (EPIDs) has received considerable attention recently, since with this method dose verification can be performed accurately and efficiently, both pre-treatment and in vivo.

Introduction: The most modern radiotherapy devices are equipped with an Electronic Portal Imaging Device (EPID) system which is located on opposite side of the machine’s head. EPID system is often used to setting up the position verification during or between radiotherapy sessions.

Characterization of EPID software for VMAT transit dosimetry
Australasian Physical & Engineering Sciences in Medicine, 2018Dosimetry check (DC) is a commercial software that allows reconstruction of 3D dose distributions using transit electronic portal imaging device (EPID) images. In this work, we evaluated the suitability of DC software for volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) transit dosimetry.
