Schematic diagram depicting the fabrication and application of thymosin β4 (Tβ4)‐loaded microneedle patches for wound treatment. The Tβ4 was loaded into chitosan (CS) and sucrose MNs under mild conditions (4°C, 65% relative humidity). The Tβ4 MN patch specifically binds to the downregulated immune regulators Vsig4 and IL22rα2, thereby accelerating ...

The Hitting Times of A Stochastic Epidemic Model [PDF]
In this paper, we focus on the hitting times of a stochastic epidemic model presented by \cite{Gray}. Under the help of the auxiliary stopping times, we investigate the asymptotic limits of the hitting times by the variations of calculus and the large ...

Discrete-time Markov chain approach to contact-based disease spreading in complex networks
Many epidemic processes in networks spread by stochastic contacts among their connected vertices. There are two limiting cases widely analyzed in the physics literature, the so-called contact process (CP) where the contagion is expanded at a certain rate

Asymmetry of the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in BaTiO3
Phase transitions are typically assumed to behave identically in forward and reverse. This work shows that in the ferroelectric material barium titanate this is not true: heating drives an abrupt, first‐order jump, while cooling gives a smooth, continuous change.

Dynamics of information-awareness-epidemic-activity coevolution in multiplex networks
Epidemic spreading and awareness diffusion are typically driven by information exchange and physical contact generated by activities, respectively, evolving in a synergistic manner.
