Rhoifolin Alleviates Ulcerative Colitis by Targeting NMNAT1 and Activating SIRT1‐FOXO1 Signaling to Enhance ILC3s Effector Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rhoifolin directly targets NMNAT1, thereby activating nicotinamide salvage pathway and promoting intracellular NAD+ biosynthesis. Elevated NAD+ levels enhance SIRT1 activity, leading to FOXO1 deacetylation and nuclear translocation. Nuclear FOXO1 subsequently binds to the IL‐22 promoter, upregulating IL‐22 transcription and potentiating ILC3 effector ...

Long Noncoding RNA PCALRx Interacts with Pyruvate Carboxylase to Drive Multi‐Organ Developmental Toxicity in Zebrafish Embryos Exposed to Amoxicillin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Embryonic amoxicillin exposure disrupts multi‐organ development in zebrafish larvae through a lncRNA–metabolic enzyme regulatory axis. PCALRx associates with pyruvate carboxylase, promotes PC protein ubiquitination, and impairs mitochondrial energy metabolism, while vitamin B1 partially restores PC‐centered metabolic function and developmental outcomes.

Understanding Egg Price Volatility and Policy Implications in the U.S. With Machine Learning

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Eggs are an inexpensive and sustainable source of proteins, but volatility in the U.S. egg prices has intensified in recent years, raising concerns over food affordability and market stability. This study examines the drivers of U.S. egg price dynamics over 2004–2025 using a two‐stage framework that combines LASSO‐based variable selection with

Promoting Healthier Drinking: Evidence From a Vignette Experiment on Contextual and Informational Drivers of Dealcoholized Wine Choices

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Growing demand for healthier beverages is driving innovation in the wine sector, with dealcoholized wine emerging as a promising alternative. However, little is known about the contextual conditions under which consumers would choose dealcoholized wine, particularly in countries with strong wine traditions. To fill this gap, this work examines

Heavy Metal Contamination: Impacts From Plants to the Food Chain and Eco‐Friendly Amelioration Strategies

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Heavy metal pollution reduces soil health and threatens food safety by entering plants; however, the use of nanoparticles, biofertilizers, and organic fertilizers such as biochar offers a promising strategy for improvement and sustainable agriculture. ABSTRACT Heavy metal (HM) pollution, resulting from human activities such as mining and the excessive ...

Consumer Demand and Market Response to Added Sugar Labeling: Evidence From the Updated Nutrition Facts Panel

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines how mandatory disclosure of added sugar content on the updated U.S. Nutrition Facts Panel (NFP) affects consumer demand and market outcomes. Using NielsenIQ Retail Scanner Data (2015–2020) and a random coefficient discrete choice model, we estimate how added sugar labeling influences purchasing behavior in yogurt and cookie
