Epidermoid cyst of the cecum resected by single-incision laparoscopic colectomy: a case report

open access: yesSurgical Case Reports, 2021

Cytological Clues to Pharyngoesophageal Diverticula Mimicking Thyroid Nodules

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, Volume 54, Issue 4, Page 315-319, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Pharyngoesophageal diverticula (PED) are uncommon hypopharyngeal outpouchings that may mimic thyroid nodules because of their close anatomic proximity to the thyroid gland. We describe two cases in which PED presented as thyroid nodules and resulted in atypical cytological findings.

Adult Occipital Dermoid Cyst With the Initial Manifestation of Subcutaneous Lump: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Dermoid cysts require meticulous differential diagnosis, prompt surgical intervention, proactive management of infection and other complications, precise delineation of the lesion prior to operation, and efforts to achieve complete excision. We report a case initially diagnosed as an epidermoid cyst but finally confirmed as a dermoid cyst.

Inguinal Dermoid Cyst Associated With Ipsilateral Undescended Testis in an Adolescent Male: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Groin swellings are the most frequent presenting clinical signs, which most frequently arise due to an inguinal hernia or lymphadenopathy. There are also rare congenital lesions, such as dermoid cysts, which can present similarly to common lesions, also leading to a diagnostic challenge.

Pluripotent stem cell‐derived extracellular vesicles: Cell type‐dependent effect on tumorigenicity in cancer cell lines

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from pluripotent stem cells have been reported to reprogram cancer cells to a more benign phenotype, due to its provision of an embryonic microenvironment. Here, we show that the effect of the EVs on the tumorigenicity of the cancer cell lines is cell type‐dependent.
