Male reproductive system - Ductus Epididymis
The wall of the ductus epididymis is pseudostratified epithelium with stereocilia. These cellular extensions are involved in resorption of luminal fluid. The principal cells have elongated nuclei, and the basal cells have round nuclei.

Unilateral ductus deferens aplasia with terminal cystic dilation in a Bernese mountain dog
Abstract An incidental caudal abdominal mass was discovered in a 5‐year‐old, male, entire Bernese mountain dog. Investigations showed a terminal cystic dilation of the left ductus deferens. Castration, along with surgical resection of the mass, was performed, and histopathology of the mass and ductus deferens was consistent with segmental aplasia of ...

Gene expression is differentially regulated in the epididymis after orchidectomy
The epididymis is the site for the transport, maturation and storage of spermatozoa. It is well established that epididymal structure and function are dependent on the testis for circulating androgens and factors in luminal fluid.

Abstract The anatomical description of the hourglass dolphin (Cephalorhynchus cruciger) and the spectacled porpoise (Phocoena dioptrica) remains largely unexplored, due to limited specimen availability and preservation challenges. This study employed digital imaging techniques, conventional histology, and computed tomography to provide visualization of

Microtubule Inner Protein CFAP77 Contributes to Sperm Motility and Male Fertility in Mice
ABSTRACT Background Sperm motility is essential for male fertility, and its regulation is dependent on the structural integrity of the axoneme. The axoneme consists of a conserved “9+2” microtubule arrangement and is supported by microtubule inner proteins. However, the functional significance of many microtubule inner proteins remains unclear.

ABSTRACT Background Extracellular vesicles (EVs) produced by accessory sex glands play a key role in sperm functionality, influencing motility, viability, acrosome integrity, metabolic activity, and capacitation. Most studies on the effects of EVs on spermatozoa have focused on ejaculated spermatozoa, which have already been exposed to their own native
