Angiofibroma of the epididymis
Pathology, 1981Summary A case of an unusual haemangiomatous tumour of the epididymis is described. On a histological basis it is proposed that the tumour be described as an angiofibroma.

Abstract A case of leiomyoma of the epididymis has been presented. Tumors of this kind are very rare, and less than twenty cases have been reported to date. It is believed that all masses in the scrotal compartment should be explored if there is any question regarding their nature.

Malacoplakia localized to the epididymis is described. Ultrastructural study revealed the presence of bacterial bodies in phagolysosomes of malacoplakic macrophages. The possible role of the phagocytosed bacteria in the pathogenesis of malacoplakia is briefly discussed.

Tumors of the epididymis, both primary and secondary, whether benign or malignant are very rare. The elements of the spermatic duct system, whether inside the testis or outside it in the epididymis and spermatic cord, exhibit only 1/20th of that of the germinal epithelium.

Coccidioidomycosis of the Epididymis
Journal of Urology, 1983A rare case of coccidioidomycosis involving the epididymis is described and compared with the 12 clinically diagnosed cases reported in the literature. With 1 exception, the disease appeared to be limited to the genital organs and the adjacent tissue. Surgical excision of the involved tissue appeared to be curative.
