We report on a 59-year-old man with epididymal lymphangiectasis. The patient had noticed somewhat intermittent intrascrotal painless swelling. The interstitium of the right caput epididymis exhibited a number of large, dilated lymphatic vessels forming irregular channels among and around the epididymal ducts.

Sarcomas are rare and account for approximately 1% of all malignancies. The subtype angiosarcoma is derived from vascular and lymphatic tissue and generally has a poor prognosis. Prior radiation therapy is a known risk factor for the development of angiosarcomas.

Sarcoidosis is a multisystem disorder that rarely involves the genitourinary tract. To date only 28 cases of histologically proved sarcoidosis involving the epididymis have been described in the literature. Although uncommon, sarcoidosis should be considered in any differential diagnosis of testicular lesions.

On the Etiology of Epididymitis
Journal of Urology, 1971An exceptionally high frequency of acute epididymitis has been observed among military recruits in basic training. 28 soldiers presenting with an episode of acute tender swelling of the epididymis were evaluated. Average age was 21 years. 8 patients reported gonorrheal infection within the preceding 2 months.
