Food Anaphylaxis: Eight Food Allergens Without Mandatory Labelling Highlighted by the French Allergy‐Vigilance Network

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, EarlyView.
Among eight allergenic foods without mandatory labelling involved in ≥ 1% of AVN database food anaphylaxis cases, four (goat's/sheep's milk, buckwheat, peas/lentils, pine nuts) should be considered for inclusion in the European mandatory labelling of foods list, due to their severity, recurrence, and sometimes hidden consumption.

Biochemical Diagnosis of Phaeochromocytoma and Paraganglioma in Children and Adolescents: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Currently, it is unclear whether plasma free or 24‐h urinary fractionated metanephrines are preferable for diagnosis of phaeochromocytoma/paraganglioma (PPGL) in children. Objectives To investigate whether measurements of plasma free and 24‐h urinary fractionated metanephrines are reliable tests for screening for PPGL in children.

Mass Spectrometric Measurements of 11‐Deoxycortisol, Androstenedione and Dehydroepiandrosterone Are Superior to Cortisol to Assess Selectivity of Non‐Stimulated Adrenal Vein Sampling

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Successful adrenal venous sampling (AVS) is traditionally assessed using the ratio of cortisol in adrenal to peripheral venous plasma to calculate the selectivity index. With mass spectrometry other steroids can be simultaneously measured that may improve numbers of apparent successful sampling procedures.

Clinical Performance of Immediately Restored, Surface Modified Two‐Piece Zirconia Implants. A Prospective Case Series

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To evaluate the short‐term success and survival rates of immediately restored surface modified two‐piece zirconia implants (CL). Material and Methods A total of 23 patients had received CL implants (n = 26) for single‐tooth replacements in the anterior and posterior maxilla and mandible at healed extraction sites.

Vertical Ridge Augmentation in the Anterior Maxilla Using a Dual‐Texture e‐PTFE Membrane and Autogenous Bone: A 2‐ to 5‐Year Retrospective Case‐Series Study

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To evaluate a novel protocol for vertical ridge augmentation with titanium‐(Ti)‐reinforced dual‐texture expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (e‐PTFE) membranes, 100% autogenous bone, and 12 months of bone healing in the anterior maxilla.
