Avaliação radiográfica na epifisiolise: possíveis preditores de bilateralidade? Radiographic evaluation in epiphysiolysis: possible predictors of bilaterality?

Limb salvage in multiple revision total knee arthroplasty using customised implants: When sleeves and cones are no longer an option

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 13, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Purpose Multiple revision total knee arthroplasty (rTKA) remains highly challenging due to severe bone defects, which often render standard implants unsuitable. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes, survivorship and complication rates of customised knee implants used in aseptic one‐stage rTKA for patients with severe bone defects.

Hip Hemi‐Resurfacing With 3D‐Printed Titanium Mini‐Prosthesis: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Orthopedics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background Hip degeneration in young patients poses a significant clinical challenge, especially when the acetabulum remains intact. Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is often postponed in these patients due to concerns about implant longevity and multiple revisions. Joint‐preserving alternatives are therefore crucial.

Vertebral Growth Modulation Through Periosteal Resection and Fixed Length Deformity Overcorrection: Computational and In Vivo Pilot Study

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 8, Issue 4, December 2025.
The feasibility of using growth promoting strategies (vertebral periosteal resection and distraction) was investigated via computational and in vivo analysis. Computational analysis demonstrated that there is an increasing mechanical benefit to utilizing concave distraction over convex compression during spinal deformity correction.

Slipping of the upper femoral epiphyses in patients with intracranial tumours causing hypopituitarism and chiasmal compression

open access: yes, 1976
Four cases of slipped upper femoral epiphyses in patients with intracranial tumours causing hypopituitarism and chiasmal compression are presented. Detailed endocrine studies in three cases showed severe deficiencies of growth hormone as well as of ...

Lower baseline scores best predict achievement of the minimal clinically important difference after hip arthroscopy: A machine learning analysis from the Femoroacetabular Impingement RandomiSed Controlled Trial and embedded prospective cohort

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, Volume 33, Issue 12, Page 4385-4397, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Purpose This analysis evaluated whether logistic regression and machine learning models could predict achievement of the minimal clinically important difference (MCID) for the International Hip Outcome Tool (iHOT‐12) and Hip Outcome Score (HOS) at 6 and 12 months following hip arthroscopy.

Trans‐Synaptic Virus Tracing Reveals Reciprocal Connections of the Interpeduncular Nucleus With the Mood, Exteroceptive, Interoceptive, and Motor Control Systems

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Neurology, Volume 533, Issue 11, November 2025.
The interpeduncular nucleus (IPN) in zebrafish plays a pivotal role in directional decision‐making, social conflict, and fear responses. The anterograde and retrograde connections of the dorsal and intermediate IPN are revealed through the use of monosynaptic and trans‐synaptic viral tracers.

Capital realignment for moderate and severe SCFE using a modified Dunn procedure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Moderate to severe slipped capital femoral epiphysis leads to premature osteoarthritis resulting from femoroacetabular impingement. We believe surgical correction at the site of deformity through capital reorientation is the best procedure to fully ...
