Relaxation Time Mapping of Early‐Stage Osteonecrosis of the Femoral Head: An In Vivo Piglet Model Study

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, Volume 44, Issue 6, June 2026.
T2, T1ρ, adiabatic T1ρ, and adiabatic T2ρ relaxation time mapping techniques are sensitive in detecting ischemic injury to bone marrow of the femoral head in vivo in a piglet model at 3 T MRI. T2 and adiabatic T2ρ relaxation times have the most pronounced increase in ischemic versus perfused, contralateral‐control femoral heads 1 week after induction ...

A Case Report of Shwachman‐Diamond Syndrome Caused by Heterozygous Variants in the EFL1 Gene and Literature Review

open access: yesMolecular Genetics &Genomic Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
We report a neonatal SDS patient with earliest onset of symptoms. The c.2935C>T and c.3149_3151delCAC compound heterozygous variants reported in this study expand the mutational spectrum of this disease. ABSTRACT Objective This investigation reports on a Shwachman‐Diamond syndrome (SDS) case arising from compound heterozygous genetic variations ...

Data‐Driven Characterization of Knee Structures Using Non‐Negative Matrix Factorization of 3D Multi‐Echo UTE MRI

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 6, June 2026.
Non‐negative matrix factorization (NMF) can derive tissue features in a data‐driven manner without relying on biophysical model assumptions. First‐time application of NMF to 3D multi‐echo UTE knee MRI revealed four reproducible components associated with tissues of fast and slow transverse relaxation, water–fat mixture (chemical shift), and fat tissue.

Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder complicated by superior mesenteric artery syndrome in an adolescent male with Klinefelter syndrome: A case report

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences Reports, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Background Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) is characterized by restrictive or avoidant eating not driven by weight or shape concerns and is often associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) syndrome may occur in ARFID with significant weight loss; however, overlapping gastrointestinal ...
