Large-scale salmon farming in Norway impacts the epiphytic community of Laminaria hyperborea
Large-scale finfish farms are increasingly located in dispersive hard-bottom environments where Laminaria hyperborea forests dominate; however, the interactions between farm effluents and kelp forests are poorly understood.

Studies of marine epiphytic algae, Calvi, Corsica. I. Determination of minimal sampling areas for microscopic algal epiphytes [PDF]
Minimal sampling areas have been determined for marine Bangiophyceae and Cyanophyceae epiphytic on Cladophora prolifera and Halopteris scoparia in Calvi, Corsica. This was done by observing the stabilization of species/area curves and of qualitative and quantitative similarity coefficients between samples of increasing size.

Styrene and its natural analogues: accumulation and sustainable production methods
Abstract Styrene, also known as vinyl benzene, is a colourless, highly volatile petrochemical that serves as a key monomer in the production of polystyrene and styrene‐butadiene rubber. Its industrial synthesis via the alkylation of benzene with ethylene relies on fossil fuels, requiring high temperatures and toxic catalysts that contribute to ...
