Cutaneous allodynia in patients with episodic migraine
Neurological Sciences, 2012Cutaneous allodynia may be observed in patients with migraine and this reflects the central sensitization of the trigeminal neurons. We aimed to investigate the frequency of cutaneous allodynia in patients with episodic migraine and to compare clinical characteristics of migraine patients with and without allodynia.

Episodic migraine prevention was examined in 24 publications of randomized controlled trials that enrolled 1578 children in 16 nonrandomized studies.
