Toward a structured workflow to harmonize soil water content products: A comparative study across different methods

open access: yesVadose Zone Journal, Volume 25, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
Abstract This study introduces a structured, multi‐step workflow for harmonizing diverse soil water content (SWC) datasets to improve their meaningful comparability while preserving their intrinsic characteristics. The workflow addresses four components: unit, temporal, vertical, and lateral spatial harmonization, and is applied to point‐scale (PS ...

Fluid inclusions, mineralogy and mineral chemistry of the porphyry-epithermal Sari Gunay epithermal ore deposit - the Kurdistan province

open access: yesJournal of Economic Geology, 2021
Introduction The Sari Gunay veining and breccia epithermal gold mineralization is situated between the Urumieh-Dokhtar magmatic belts and the Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic zone in central-NW Iran. The Sari Gunay gold deposit is hosted by a middle Miocene volcanic complex that has been formed in the two Sari Gunay and Agh Dagh hills with ~2 km distance ...

Capturing Field‐Scale Soil Moisture Dynamics in Ireland Using Cosmic‐Ray Neutron Sensing

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Soil Science, Volume 77, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
Schematic overview of the study, including the monitoring setup, field observations, and the principal findings. ABSTRACT Cosmic‐Ray Neutron Sensing (CRNS) enables non‐invasive monitoring of field‐scale soil moisture, bridging the spatial gap between point‐scale sensors such as Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) and coarse‐resolution satellite products ...

The Occurrence and Morphology of Naturally Occurring Respirable Mordenite Mineral Fibres in New Zealand

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 2, June 2026.
Mordenite is a naturally occurring zeolite mineral that is the seventh most common zeolite mineral globally, forming at low temperatures (≥100°C) in hydrothermal systems. In New Zealand, extensive deposits of mordenite are commonly associated with areas of hydrothermal alteration, particularly in the Coromandel and Taupo Volcanic Zones.
