Long‐term predictors of seizure outcome after anterior temporal lobectomy in unilateral hippocampal sclerosis: A 281‐patient cohort with mean 10‐year follow‐up

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To identify long‐term predictors of seizure outcome after anterior temporal lobectomy (ATL) in a large, homogeneous cohort of patients with drug‐resistant temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and MRI‐defined unilateral hippocampal sclerosis (HS), all operated on by a single neurosurgeon with extended follow‐up.

Rheology of PA-6/EPM/EPM-g-MA blends along a twin-screw extruder [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Polymer Technology, 2000
The changes in the rheological behavior, morphology, and chemical conversion of PA-6/EPM/EPM-g-MA blends (80/20/0 to 80/0/20; w/w/w) along a compounding co-rotating twin-screw extruder were monitored. The linear viscoelastic behavior of nonreactive and reactive blends could be interpreted in terms of morphology and/or chemical conversion.

Efficient Numerical Framework for Geothermal Energy Production Optimization in Fracture‐Controlled Reservoirs

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, EarlyView.
We introduce an efficient open‐source numerical framework for the automated search for the placements of injection and production wells in hot fracture‐controlled reservoirs that sustainably optimize geothermal energy production. We model the reservoirs as discrete fracture networks in 3D. The fluid flow and heat transport in the reservoirs are modeled

Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Their Conditioned Medium Attenuate Fibrosis in an Irreversible Model of Unilateral Ureteral Obstruction

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 2015
The therapeutic potential of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and their conditioned medium (MSC-CM) has been extensively studied. MSCs can repair tissue, reduce local inflammation, and modulate the immune response.

A Parallelized 3D Geomechanical Solver for Fluid‐Induced Fault Slip in Poroelastic Media

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We present a fully implicit formulation of coupled fluid flow and geomechanics for fluid injection/withdrawal in fractured reservoirs in the context of CO2$\textrm {CO}_2$ storage. Utilizing a Galerkin finite‐element approach, both flow and poroelasticity equations are discretized on a shared three‐dimensional mesh.

Modeling of Soil Erosion and Sediment Production with Three Models of WEPP, EPM and Fournier in GIS Case Study: Sulachai Watershed-Ardabil

open access: yesتحقيقات جغرافيايی, 2017
Water and soil are the foundation of human life. Today, soil erosion is threatening these valuable resources and consequently human life. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and control of soil erosion.

Intuitionistic computability logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Computability logic (CL) is a systematic formal theory of computational tasks and resources, which, in a sense, can be seen as a semantics-based alternative to (the syntactically introduced) linear logic.

Investigation of the Mechanism of Cinnamaldehyde in Irritable Bowel Syndrome Based via Network Pharmacology, Molecular Docking, and Animal Experiments

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
Through network pharmacology and molecular docking, it has been discovered that CA can target MAOB, among other proteins, to exert a therapeutic effect in IBS. In vivo, CA lowered visceral hypersensitivity, anxiety and depression‐like behaviors, and fecal water content, highlighting its therapeutic potential for IBS via anti‐inflammatory pathways ...
