An investigation of chemically-induced improvement in saturation moisture characteristics of epoxies [PDF]
MY-720/DDS epoxy samples were treated with three selected chemical compounds to render the active H-sites inactive for moisture absorption. Treating the epoxy castings with acetyl chloride and dichlorodimethyl silane leads only to surface changes ...

Efficient routes to epimerically-pure side-chain derivatives of lanosterol [PDF]
A technically simple route is described to individual epimers of side-chain derivatives of lanosterol (3-hydroxy-5-lanosta-8,24-diene). Epimerically pure 24,25-epoxy-, 24,25-dihydroxy- and 24-bromo-25-hydroxy-lanosterol have been prepared in good yield ...

Print‐and‐Plate Architected Electrodes for Electrochemical Transformations Under Flow
Typical flow cell electrodes are composed of stochastic porous carbon, limiting understanding of electrode structure‐performance relationships. This work describes an approach, termed “print‐and‐plate,” to prepare porous electrodes by direct ink writing followed by conformal metal coating.

The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.

Effects of Filler Configuration and Moisture on Dissipation Factor and Critical Electric Field of Epoxy Composites for HV-ICs Encapsulation [PDF]
Molding compounds (MCs) have been used extensively as an encapsulation material for integrated circuits, however, MCs are susceptible to moisture and charge spreading over time. The increase in dissipation factor due to the increase of parasitic electrical conductivity ({\sigma}) and the decrease in dielectric strength (E_MC^Crit) restrict their ...

Fire Retardancy of Vinyl Ester Nanocomposites: Synergy with Phosphorus-Based Fire Retardants [PDF]
Vinyl ester (PVE) nanocomposites were prepared using both clay and polyhedral oligosilsesquioxanes (POSS) as the nano-dimensional material. From cone calorimetric data, it was shown that both POSS and clay affect the flammability of the nanocomposites to
