Antiferromagnetic properties of a water vapor-inserted $YBa_2Cu_3O_{6.5}$ compound studied by NMR, NQR and $μ$ SR [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B 70, 054506 (2004), 2003
We present a detailed NQR, NMR and $\mu $SR study of a magnetic phase obtained during a topotactic chemical reaction of YBa$_{2}$Cu$_{3}$O$_{6.5}$ high- temperature superconductor with low-pressure water vapor. Our studies give straightforward evidence that the ''empty'' Cu(1) chains play the role of an easy water insertion channel.

Phenomenological characterization of sequential dual-curing of off-stoichiometric "thiol-epoxy" systems: Towards applicability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
An extensive characterization of a sequential dual-curing system based on off-stoichiometric “thiol-epoxy” mixtures was carried out using thiol compounds of different functionality.

Antiferromagnetism in hydrated 123 compounds [PDF]

open access: yesPis'ma v ZhETF v.69, iss.10, pp.739-744 (1999), 1999
Copper nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) and zero field nuclear magnetic resonance (ZFNMR) studies of YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{6.5}$ show that a magnetic phase appears in underdoped 123 superconductors treated in ambient wet air. The studies give convincing evidence that the ``empty'' CuO chains play the role of easy water insertion channels.

Effect of Incorporation of Inhibitor Loaded Mesoporous Silica on the Corrosion Behavior of Epoxy Coatings [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Ultrafine Grained and Nanostructured Materials, 2013
In this research, mesoporous silica was applied as the host of corrosion inhibitor (molybdate). The loaded mesoporous silica was dispersed in an epoxy matrix. The composite was then coated on the mild steel plate.

Dammarane-Type Triterpenoids from The Stembark of Aglaia argentea (Meliaceae)

open access: yesJurnal Kimia Valensi, 2018
Two dammarane-type triterpenoids, 20S,24S-epoxy-3α,25-dihydroxydammarane (1) and 3α-acetyl-20S,24S-epoxy-3α,25-dihydroxydammarane (2), have been isolated from the stembark of Aglaia argentea.

Cytotoxic and antimicrobial activities of two new sesquiterpenoids from red sea brittle star Ophiocoma dentata

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Bioactive compounds were extracted from a locally available brittle star; Ophiocoma dentata, collected from the Red Sea, Egypt. Two new sesquiterpenoids; 8, 11-epoxy-9(15)-himachaladiene-4-ol (O8-ophiocomane) and, 11-epoxy-9(15)-himachaladiene-4-ol (O7 ...

The mechanical and electrical properties of direct-spun carbon nanotube mat-epoxy composites [PDF]

open access: yesCarbon 2019, 2019
Composites of direct-spun carbon nanotube (CNT) mats and epoxy are manufactured and tested in order to determine their mechanical and electrical properties. The mats are spun directly from a floating catalyst, chemical vapour deposition reactor.

Corrosion protection of carbon steel by an epoxy resin containing organically modified clay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This study focusses on the use of montmorillonite clay (MMT) treated with an organic compound (aminotrimethylphosphonic acid (ATMP)) and dispersed in an epoxy resin to improve corrosion protection of carbon steel.
