Application of Mössbauer spectroscopy to study vibrations of a granular medium excited by ultrasound [PDF]
It is shown that analysis of M\"{o}ssbaur spectra of a granulated medium, immersed into the epoxy resin without hardener, allows to study mechanical vibrations of granules. In our experiments, small particles of the potassium ferrocyanide with a 1.25 micron mean size played a role of granules. This compound was enriched by $^{57}$Fe isotope.

From Nature to Engineering: Mortar Volume and Interfacial Mechanics in Bioinspired Ceramics
Inspired by natural armors like nacre, this study explores how varying the volume fraction of the soft mortar layer impacts the interfacial strength and toughness of bioinspired ceramics. Experimental and computational analysis reveals that higher mortar volumes increase energy dissipation but reduce interfacial stiffness, offering insights for ...

Anisotropic magnetic and superconducting properties of aligned weak-ferromagnetic superconductor RuSr$_2$RCu$_2$O$_8$ (R = rare earths) [PDF]
The powder alignment method is used to investigate the anisotropic physical properties of the weak-ferromagnetic superconductor system RuSr2RCu2O8 (R = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Gd0.5Dy0.5). The RuSr2GdCu2O8 cuprate is a weak-ferromagnetic superconductor with a magnetic ordering of Ru moments at TN(Ru) = 131 K, a superconducting transition in the CuO2 layers

Ultra-ductile and low friction epoxy matrix composites [PDF]
We present the results of an effective reinforcement of epoxy resin matrix with fullerene carbon soot. The optimal carbon soot addition of 1 wt. % results in a toughness improvement of almost 20 times. The optimized soot-epoxy composites also show an increase in tensile elongation of more than 13 %, thus indicating a change of the failure mechanism in ...

The 1-((diorganooxy phosphonyl) methyl)-2,4- and -2,6-diamino benzenes and their derivatives [PDF]
The 1-((diorganooxy phosphonyl) methyl)-2,4- and -2,6-dinitro- and diamino benzenes are prepared by nitrating an (organo phosphenyl) methyl benzene to produce the dinitro compounds which are then reduced to the diamino compounds. The organo groups (alkyl,
