All‐Cellulose‐Based Photonic Glitters

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Uniform, disc‐shaped photonic CNC glitters with adjustable structural colors and diameters are fabricated on hydrophilic ethyl cellulose films using electrospray deposition. By employing patterned ethyl cellulose films with pre‐designed hydrophilic regions, photonic patterns can be created with these all‐cellulose‐based glitters, demonstrating their ...

Excellent tribological properties of epoxy—Ti3C2 with three-dimensional nanosheets composites

open access: yesFriction, 2020
As a widely used engineering polymer, epoxy resin has been successfully employed in high-performance components and setups. However, the poor thermal and friction properties of traditional epoxy resin greatly limit its application in many extreme ...

Tailoring Hole‐Blocking Layers Enables a Versatile Approach for Fast Photomultiplication‐Type Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of hole‐blocking layers (HBLs), particularly the combination of two HBLs in photomultiplication‐type organic photodetectors (PM‐OPDs), which results in high gain and record‐fast response. The proposed HBL strategy also allows for the use of photoactive layer with balanced donor–acceptor stoichiometry, which can be ...

Improved thermal conductivity of epoxy resin by graphene–nickel three-dimensional filler

open access: yesCarbon Resources Conversion, 2020
Owing to high thermal conductivity, carbon nanotube and graphene have been used as nanofillers to improve the thermal conductivity of polymer. However, the agglomeration of nanofillers in polymer inhibits their applications in improving the thermal ...

Influence of the viscosity change of resin on the RTM process

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
The viscosity of epoxy resin was tested by viscometer, and an engineering viscosity model was constructed by the fitting method. In this simulation, the viscosity model was applied to predict the flow process of epoxy resin with different initial ...

Curing and post-curing luminescence in an epoxy resin [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
A spontaneous luminescence is reported when epoxy resin samples are heated in air. This phenomenon is very sensitive to the nature of the atmosphere. The same treatment in nitrogen leads to an extinction of the luminescence. The emission process is restored when samples are kept for a sufficient time in air.

Fully Bio‐Based Epoxy Resins from Liquefied Wood for Chemically Recyclable Wood Coatings

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bio‐based and chemically recyclable epoxy resin derived from liquefied wood and its use in wood coatings is presented. The resin exhibits mechanical, thermal, and water‐resistant properties comparable to commercial coatings and can be chemically recycled and reused. This approach provides fast access to glossy and fully biobased durable wood coatings

Glass transition of an epoxy resin induced by temperature, pressure and chemical conversion: a configurational entropy rationale [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
A comparative study is reported on the dynamics of a glass-forming epoxy resin when the glass transition is approached through different paths: cooling, compression, and polymerization. In particular, the influence of temperature, pressure and chemical conversion on the dynamics has been investigated by dielectric spectroscopy.

Efficient Hole Injection From Indium Tin Oxide in Quantum‐Dot Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The realization of QLEDs‐based displays remains challenging due to the acidic surface from PEDOT:PSS. Here, an analysis is conducted by examining the degradation mechanism of PEDOT:PSS. By replacing PEDOT:PSS with 2BrCzPA, the formation of strong dipoles at the ITO/2BrCzPA SAM interfaces exhibits excellent hole injection abilities.
