Outgassing of epoxy resins in vacumm

Vacuum, 1967
Abstract Weight loss of three plastic materials (two glass-fibre-filled 815-MPDA Epoxies and an unfilled 828-U Epoxy) during 100 hours exposure to vacumm (10 −6 to 10 −4 torr) at 24°C were measured with a recording electrobalance. Weight loss decreased with time, indicating that the outgassing products were absorbed or adsorbed gases.

Introduction to Epoxy Resins

2018
Since their conception, epoxy resins have been the subject of a multitude of patents and technical publications. Undoubtedly, there has been more written about these products per pound of sales than any of the other commercially available thermosetting resins. This immediately compels us to pose the question, why?

Epoxy resin adhesives

1993
The use of structural adhesives in the manufacture of load-bearing components has grown extensively in recent years. This can be attributed to a number of desirable qualities which adhesive bonding allows in comparison with more traditional joining techniques such as riveting and welding.

Epoxy Resin Adhesives

1990
Structural adhesives based on epoxy resins were first introduced in 1950 and their use has grown steadily since. Epoxy resins are reactive with a number of different curing agents and yield a wide variety of products with different cure requirements and end-use performance.
