Study on the Application of CDAG Methodology in EPR Nuclear Power Plant

Volume 7: Fuel Cycle, Decontamination and Decommissioning, Radiation Protection, Shielding, and Waste Management; Mitigation Strategies for Beyond Design Basis Events, 2017
The Westinghouse Owners Group Core Damage Assessment Guidance (CDAG), which has been authorized by the NRC staffs, is now used by licensee emergency response organization staff for estimating the extent of core damage that may have occurred during an accident at a Westinghouse nuclear power plant.

Load Combination Reduction Methodology for the US EPR™ Standard Nuclear Power Plant

Volume 8: Seismic Engineering, 2012
The Safety-Related structures of the U.S. EPR™ Standard Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) predominantly consist of reinforced concrete shear walls and slabs; thus they are typically modeled using shell finite elements and analyzed and designed for a large number of applicable load combinations.

Dielectric Resonator-Based Flow and Stopped-Flow EPR with Rapid Field Scanning: A Methodology for Increasing Kinetic Information

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1999
We report methodology which combines recently developed dielectric resonator-based, rapid-mix, stopped-flow EPR (appropriate for small, aqueous, lossy samples) with rapid scanning of the external (Zeeman) magnetic field where the scanning is preprogrammed to occur at selected times after the start of flow.

Critical Section Selection Methodology for the U.S. EPR™ Standard Nuclear Power Plant

ASME 2010 Pressure Vessels and Piping Conference: Volume 8, 2010
This paper presents a three-tier, critical section selection methodology that is used to identify critical sections for the U.S. EPR™ Standard Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). The critical section selection methodology includes three complementary approaches: qualitative, quantitative, and supplementary. These three approaches are applied to Seismic Category

Evolution of the Thermal Hydraulics Design Methodologies for the European Pressurized Reactor (EPR) Vessel

Emerging Technology in Fluids, Structures, and Fluid Structure Interactions: Volume 2, Dynamics of Explosive Detonation, Materials and Structures, Structural Mechanics and Design, 2004
The thermal-hydraulic design of the first PWR’s was mainly based on an experimental approach, with a large series of test on the main equipment (control rod guide tubes, RPV plenums ...), to check its performances. Development of CFD-codes and computers now allows for complex simulations of hydraulic phenomena.

How and why the characterization of magnetic materials can give directions in the methodological development in high field–high frequency EPR

Research on Chemical Intermediates, 2002
The experimental problems linked to the use of the ultra-wide band high field-high frequency Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (HF2-EPR) spectrometers are illustrated with some key examples. The single pass technique is critically analyzed and compared with other techniques.

Temperature-Dependent Exchange Interaction in Molecular Magnets Cu(hfac)2LR Studied by EPR: Methodology and Interpretations

Inorganic Chemistry, 2011
Exchange-coupled spin triads nitroxide-copper(II)-nitroxide are the key building blocks of molecular magnets Cu(hfac)(2)L(R). These compounds exhibit thermally induced structural rearrangements and spin transitions, where the exchange interaction between spins of copper(II) ion and nitroxide radicals changes typically by 1 order of magnitude.

Basic EPR Methodology

1997
The present chapter presents the basic methodology of electron paramagnetic (spin) resonance (EPR or ESR), illustrated by instances developed in the following chapters. Although it is meant to be read on the present spot, it will be more fully understood on a second reading.

EPR Kindred Methodologies for Multiversal FTL Communication

No faster-than-light (FTL) communication device exists today. This paper does not propose a hardware design, but instead examines—in a speculative, pre-device framework—how the FTL pipeline linking two hypothetical communicators would behave under the combined constraints of quantum mechanics (QM) and relativity.
