Statistical analysis of low-latitude spread F observed over Puer, China, during 2015–2016

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2019
Statistical analysis of spread F (SF), recorded at Puer (PUR, 22.7° N, 101.05° E, Dip Latitude 12.9° N) during 2015–2016, was carried out to reveal its characteristics at the northern equatorial ionization anomaly.

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF LARGE SCALE EQUATORIAL SPREAD F

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 1996
We have performed numerical simulations of nonlinear evolution of plasma interchange instability in equatorial spread F(ESF) under different conditions. It is shown that the interchange instability resulting from one-or two-dimensional initial density perturbations can grow into plasma bubbles but cannot evolve into the plumelike structures on the west

Effects of intermittent exposure to hypobaria and cold on the microarchitecture and morphofunctional profile of rat gastrocnemius muscle

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Intermittent hypobaric hypoxia (IHH) enhances oxygen transport, muscle metabolism, and cardiovascular health; however, the combined effects of hypobaria and cold are less well understood. Exposure to these stressful environmental factors, even intermittently, can affect skeletal muscle due to its plasticity, thereby altering its metabolic and ...

HF doppler observations on the occurrence of equatorial spread-F

open access: yesJournal of Earth System Science, 1985
HF doppler observations of the vertical drift velocity and group height of the 5.5 MHz plasma frequency level of the post-sunset bottomside F-region obtained on a fewESF (equatorial spread-F) and non-ESF days at Trivandrum are presented. The results show that on the non-ESF days, the maximum group height attained is about 400 km and the maximum ...

The musculature and skeleton of the pelvic fin of the crocodile shark, Pseudocarcharias kamoharai (Matsubara, 1936) (Elasmobranchii: Lamniformes): Morphology and sexual dimorphism

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
This work brings new information on the sexual characteristics of the crocodile shark (Pseudocarcharias kamoharai) exploring the pelvic fin musculature, as well as the siphon sac and the musculature and skeleton of the clasper. Our paper is the first to point out clearly the sexual dimorphism related exclusively to the pelvic fin musculature in males ...

Seasonal variations of equatorial spread-F

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae
The occurrence of spread-F at Trivandrum (8.5°N, 77°E, dip 0.5°N) has been investigated on a seasonal basis in sunspot maximum and minimum years in terms of the growth rate of irregularities by the generalized collisional Rayleigh-Taylor (GRT ...

Evolution of Freshly Generated Equatorial Spread F (F‐ESF) Irregularities on Quiet and Disturbed Days

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, 2018
We examined the seasonal and solar flux dependence of the occurrence of freshly generated intermediate scale (100 m to few km) equatorial spread F (ESF) irregularities during magnetically quiet (Q) and disturbed (D) periods.

Comprehensive Characterization of Acer truncatum Leaf Extract: Identification of Systemic Metabolites and Effects on Performance, Antioxidant Status, and Intestinal Microbiota in Laying Hens

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary A. truncatum leaf extract is absorbed and improves laying performance in aged hens by enhancing systemic antioxidant capacity and modulating the gut microbiota. ABSTRACT The demand for natural feed additives is considerably increasing in the antibiotic‐free feed era.

Density enhancements associated with equatorial spread F

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2010
Forces governing the three-dimensional structure of equatorial spread-F (ESF) plumes are examined using the NRL SAMI3/ESF three-dimensional simulation code. As is the case with the equatorial ionization anomaly (IA), density crests within the plume occur where gravitational and diffusive forces are in balance.

BODIPY‐based J‐aggregates: From supramolecular chemistry to NIR bioimaging and phototherapies

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
BODIPY dyes form ordered J‐aggregates through controlled supramolecular self‐assembly, producing narrow, red‐shifted absorption bands with small Stokes shifts. This review highlights design strategies governing J‐aggregation, structure–property relationships, and applications in sensing, bioimaging, and phototherapy, guiding functional BODIPY‐based ...
