Comparison of the performance of step conditional and fuzzy logic pulse adjustment forpowersharingsystems [PDF]

open access: yesWarasan Witthayasat Lae Theknoloyi Mahawitthayalai Mahasarakham, 2020
The aim of this research is to develop an algorithm to control a load sharing system. The step pulse adjustment algorithm and the fuzzy logic pulse adjustment algorithm were used to generate the PWM signal for driving MOSFET to switch between two power ...

A Comparison of Control Schemes for Under-Actuated Pendubot System

open access: yesRobotica & Management, 2023
This paper presents a comparison of the three distinctive well-known control techniques, including Linear Quadratic Regulator (for short, LQR), Sliding Mode Control (for short, SMC), and Fuzzy Logic Control (for short, FLC).

Reducing Propositional Theories in Equilibrium Logic to Logic Programs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The paper studies reductions of propositional theories in equilibrium logic to logic programs under answer set semantics. Specifically we are concerned with the question of how to transform an arbitrary set of propositional formulas into an equivalent logic program and what are the complexity constraints on this process. We want the transformed program

Harnessing Multistability: A Novel Approach to Optical Logic Gate Construction Using Erbium-Doped Fiber Lasers

open access: yesPhotonics
We present an innovative method harnessing multistability within a diode-pumped erbium-doped fiber laser to construct logic gates. Our approach involves manipulating the intensity of external noise to regulate the probability of transitioning among four ...

Study of Inverted Pendulum Robot Using Fuzzy Servo Control Method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2012
The inverted pendulum robot is a classical problem in controls. The inherit instabilities in the setup make it a natural target for a control system. Inverted pendulum robot is suitable to use for investigation and verification of various control methods

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Fiscality as Expression of the Type of State

open access: yesPapeles, 2020
In the midst of the pandemic, and in the face of future uncertainties, the Medium-Term Fiscal Framework, prepared by the Ministry of Finance for the period 2021-2031, shows that the crisis has not led the government to rethink the type of State. Colombia

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Temporal Equilibrium Logic: A First Approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we introduce an extension of Equilibrium Logic (a logical characterisation of the Answer Set Semantics for logic programs) consisting in the inclusion of modal temporal operators, as those used in Linear Temporal Logic. As a result, we obtain a very expressive formalism that allows nonmonotonic reasoning for temporal domains.

Characterising equilibrium logic and nested logic programs: Reductions and complexity, [PDF]

open access: yesTheory and Practice of Logic Programming, 2009
Abstract Equilibrium logic is an approach to non-monotonic reasoning that extends the stable-model and answer-set semantics for logic programs. In particular, it includes the general case of nested logic programs, where arbitrary Boolean combinations are permitted in heads and bodies of rules, as special kinds of theories.
