Mathematical modeling of climate change impacts on maize yields in Kenya
Climate change continues to risk maize production in Kenya, yet most of the current modeling approaches evaluate climate variables independently and greatly disregard their interaction with soil fertility.

This paper investigates a susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered (SEIR) epidemic model with demography under two vaccination effort strategies. Firstly, the model is investigated under vaccination of newborns, which is fact in a direct action on the ...

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Determination of Equilibrium Points for Steady State Conservative Models
The development and a more sophisticated structure of electric power systems, the transition towards deregulation and competition between the participants of the electric energy market cause the necessity of a complex steady state analysis, the ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

ON COMPUTATIONAL DIFFERENCES OF CRITICAL POINTS ON EQUILIBRIUM CURVE
In this paper, we discuss the features of investigating the type of the critical point on the equilibrium curve (bifurcation point or limit point). There are new ideas about the completion of the initial equilibrium at the limit point or bifurcation ...
