Lexicographic and sequential equilibrium problems
Journal of Global Optimization, 2009The aim of this work is to analyze lexicographic equilibrium problems on a topological Hausdorff vector space X, and their relationship with some other vector equilibrium problems. Existence results for the tangled lexicographic problem are proved via the study of a related sequential problem.

Equilibrium Problems with Equilibrium Constraints
2012The previous chapter presented mathematical programs for solving leaderfollower (Stackelberg) games when a single leader correctly anticipates the equilibrium reaction of followers, who in turn naively believe that the leader’s decisions are exogenous and fixed.

In this chapter, we consider the equilibrium theory of classical thermoelasticity. In the absence of time dependence, the basic equations from Section 3.1 reduce to the equations of equilibrium (4.1.1) the equilibrium energy equation (4.1.2) the constitutive equations (4.1.3) (4.1.4) and the geometrical ...

Applicable Analysis, 2007
In this article we introduce a new class of equilibrium problems known as mixed quasi invex equilibrium (equilibrium-like) problems with trifunction. This class of equilibrium problems includes invex equilibrium problems, variational inequalities and variational-like inequalities as special cases. We use the auxiliary principle technique to suggest and

Duality for Equilibrium Problems
Journal of Global Optimization, 2006We consider equilibrium problems in the framework of the formulation proposed by Blum and Oettli. We establish a new dual formulation for this equilibrium problem using the classical Fenchel conjugation, thus generalizing the classical convex duality theory for optimization problems.

Technical problems in equilibrium dialysis
Immunochemistry, 1973Abstract It was found that several DNP-hapten preparations contained low levels of contamination with radioactive, weakly bound impurities which could not be removed by routine methods. This contamination resulted in artificially low values for antibody affinity and artificially high values for the heterogeneity index.

In this chapter we give an overview of the theory of scalar equilibrium problems. To emphasize the importance of this problem in nonlinear analysis and in several applied fields we first present its most important particular cases as optimization, Kirszbraun’s problem, saddlepoint (minimax) problems, and variational inequalities.

Coercivity Conditions for Equilibrium Problems
Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2005The study of the existence of solutions of equilibrium problems on unbounded domains involves usually the same sufficient assumptions as for bounded domains together with a coercivity condition. We focus on two different conditions: the first is obtained assuming the existence of a bounded set such that no elements outside is a candidate for a solution;

Well-posed equilibrium problems
Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2010Abstract In this paper we introduce some notions of well-posedness for scalar equilibrium problems in complete metric spaces or in Banach spaces. As equilibrium problem is a common extension of optimization, saddle point and variational inequality problems, our definitions originates from the well-posedness concepts already introduced for these ...

Motivated by various applications of multi-criteria decision making, extensions of scalar equilibrium problems, discussed in Chap. 1, for the vector case were proposed. Among them, the most investigated problems are vector optimization and vector saddle point.
