On how spatial variations of channel width influence river profile curvature
Longitudinal profiles of alluvial rivers usually exhibit upward‐concave curvatures at equilibrium. River profile concavity has been primarily attributed to sediment downstream fining and to streamwise increments of water discharge.

An explicit constitutive reconstruction framework enables accurate tensile characterization of miniaturized additively manufactured specimens using only the grip‐to‐grip displacement measurements. Progressive validation through self‐consistency, analytical comparison, and inverse finite element method (iFEM) benchmarking demonstrates constitutive ...

Sea-level changes modulate beach face slope in coastal upwelling zones
Although waves are commonly regarded as the primary drivers of beach profile evolution, observations and experiments show that the slope of the beach face does not always directly reflect the conditions of the incident waves.

Unlike partial equilibrium analysis which study the equilibrium of a particular market under the clause "ceteris paribus" that revenues and prices on the other markets stay approximately unaffected, the ambition of a general equilibrium model is to ...

Gallium microalloying redirects interfacial reactions in low‐temperature Bi–Sn solders from Cu–Sn toward Cu–Ga intermetallic formation. The resulting Cu–Ga layer suppresses intermetallic growth during thermal aging, alters fracture pathways, and improves interfacial stability.

Monotone Equilibrium in Multi-Unit Auctions
In a large class of multi-unit auctions of identical objects that includes the uniform-price, as-bid (or discriminatory), and Vickrey auctions, a Bayesian Nash equilibrium exists in monotone pure strategies whenever there is a finite price / quantity ...

Optimizing tokamak operation requires a precise understanding of magnetohydrodynamic equilibrium. This paper presents a numerical study of plasma shape, displacement, poloidal beta (βp), and internal inductance (ℓi) in the Alvand-U tokamak.

Morphology, Transport, and Dynamics of Protein Adsorption in Open‐Cell Metal Foam
Stainless steel (SS) open‐cell foams are shown to adsorb more protein per unit area than previously reported 316L SS and chromium oxide surfaces under static and flow conditions. An integrated approach combining 3D pore imaging, flow simulation, and protein adsorption experiments characterizes the foam’s performance.
