Electron Extraction Optimization for Carbon‐Based Hole‐Conductor‐Free Perovskite Photovoltaics With Record 1.41 V VOC

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient electron energy level strategy is constructed to reduce voltage losses in planar HTL‐free CsPbI2Br C‐PSCs. This electron extraction optimization enables rapid photogenerated electron extraction and carrier separation, thereby suppressing recombination at the back contact. The resulting PSCs deliver a record VOC of 1.41 V, a high PCE of 17.42%

Synthesis and Photothermal Processing of Silicon‐Based Nanoconfined MXenes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Intercalation of titanium carbide (Ti3C2Tx) MXenes with aminopropyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane (amino‐PDMS) is demonstrated through ion‐exchange method followed by photonic curing (PC) using xenon flashlamp. The intercalation and PC result in enhanced interlayer spacing of Ti3C2Tx of 13.5 and 11 nm, respectively. Furthermore, conversion of PDMS to

Research on the Evolution of Defects Initiation and the Diffusion of Dopant on the Si/SiO2 Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review mainly introduces the recent investigations on the mechanisms of interface defect initiation and dopant diffusion, and the comparisons and discussions of the initial mechanism of defects, structures of defects to provide valuable guidance for improving the performance and extending the lifespan of Si/SiO2 interfaces.

Electron‐Beam‐Induced Adatom‐Vacancy‐Complexes in Mono‐ and Bilayer Phosphorene

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The stability of adatom‐vacancy‐complexes in mono‐ and bilayer phosphorene is shown via atomically‐resolved scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM). With the help of density‐functional theory (DFT) simulations also several additional defect configurations were identified. Simulations are also used to understand defect dynamics.

Leveraging Grain Boundary Effects for Nanostructured Electrode Layers in Symmetric Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Nanocrystalline thin‐films of lanthanum chromite exhibit extraordinary properties of fast oxygen kinetics. These properties are due to the peculiar chemistry of grain boundaries and can be harnessed for fabricating symmetric electrochemical devices with self‐healing properties. Abstract While grain boundary engineering is attracting great interest as a
