Microbial contamination of domiciliary nebuliser therapy equipment.
Australian and New Zealand journal of medicine, 1986Fifty-two outpatients requiring domiciliary nebulised bronchodilator therapy were studied to determine the frequency and degree of contamination of nebuliser solutions and equipment. In 32 of the 52 patients (61%) nebuliser solutions and/or aerosols were contaminated.

Contamination in moving and handling equipment.
Professional nurse (London, England), 1999There is a risk of cross contamination when using moving and handling equipment in hospitals. Launderable equipment should be designated for single-patient use only and hard surfaces should be cleaned between patient use. Guidelines on the cleaning, decontamination and storage of moving and handling equipment should be made available to all users.
