Chemical State Detection and Charge Transfer in Complex Oxide Heterostructures via In Situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy resolves oxidation states with high fidelity during the pulsed laser deposition of multivalent perovskite manganate and vanadate heterostructures. The chemical‐state signature is carried by the valence‐electron population of the transition‐metal cation, read out through the relative intensities of Auger fine ...

Categorical Structures in Rough Set Theory and Information Systems

open access: yesMathematics
Using the concept of category, we provide some insight into and prove an intrinsic property of the category AprS of approximation spaces and continuous functions.

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

Ultrawide Bandwidth Optomechanical Magnetometry Using Flux Concentration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐permeability flux concentrators enable ultrawide‐bandwidth chip‐scale optomechanical magnetometry by exploiting magnetic nonlinearity to up‐convert low‐frequency fields to the mechanical resonance, where sensitivity is optimal. This enables flat wideband operation over more than four orders of magnitude, from tens of kilohertz to sub‐hertz ...

As fórmulas rutineiras e as súas relacións de equivalencia na combinación lingüística español-alemán / Routine expressions and their equivalences in Spanish-German linguistic combination [PDF]

open access: yesCadernos de Fraseoloxía Galega, 2017
Dada a relevancia das funcións discursivas das fórmulas rutineiras (FR) na comunicación cotiá, consideramos preciso telas en consideración no ensino de linguas estranxeiras.

Impact of Disorder on Microscopic Superconducting and Normal‐State Responses in a Kagome Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Using depth‐resolved, field‐ and pressure‐dependent μSR$\umu{\rm SR}$ measurements, we show that disorder in Ta‐doped KV3Sb5 drives a crossover from nodal to nodeless superconductivity while strongly modifying the normal‐state magnetic response. Our results reveal that disorder affects superconductivity and magnetism in fundamentally different ways ...

Category of $\mathcal{M}$-relations as a quotient of the span category [PDF]

open access: yesCategories and General Algebraic Structures with Applications
We introduce $\mathcal{M}$-spans for a class $\mathcal{M}$ of morphisms in a category $\mathcal{C}$. Using the equivalence class of $\mathcal{M}$-spans under a given equivalence relation, we give the notion of an $\mathcal{M}$-relation in $\mathcal{C ...

Functionalizing Micro‐to‐Mesoscopic Electrode Architectures for Regulating Electron Transfer Behaviors in Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient
