Equivalent Circuit Modelling

1993
During the last decade, there has been a shift in emphasis in device modelling research away from equivalent circuits and in favour of numerical device simulation. This has been driven by a rapid increase in the computing power to cost ratio and the assertion that the solution of the fundamental device equations is required to adequately model modern ...

Miniature Wideband Non-Uniform Metasurface Antenna Using Equivalent Circuit Model

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
A miniaturized wideband non-uniform metasurface antenna is proposed and analyzed using an equivalent circuit model. The non-uniform metasurface consists of an array of rectangular metallic patches separated by varying gaps. The effects of the varying gap

Equivalent Circuit Models

1999
The following sections discuss creating equivalent circuit models of packages from measured data and creating models from EM simulation results. Assuming we can do both well, it is usually best to choose measurement where a physical part and appropriate test board already exist. EM simulation’s big advantage is simulating structures that do not already

New equivalent circuit model for HEMT

1999 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference. APMC'99. Microwaves Enter the 21st Century. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99TH8473), 2003
AC I-V behavior between the terminals of a HEMT are investigated experimentally from several hundred Hz to 1 MHz. The results show that the AC I-V characteristics among the terminals, such as drain-source, gate-source, and gate drain, are the same as those of an LC tank, thus, a new equivalent circuit model in the AC frequency range is proposed based ...

An equivalent circuit model for IGBT

Proceedings of the 2000 Third IEEE International Caracas Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.00TH8474), 2002
A new circuit model for the IGBT is developed. This model uses the transmission-line circuit technique and is suitable for circuit simulators. The new circuit model for the IGBT is implemented into widely used SPICE3 and all the simulation results are compared with the results of the TMA MEDICI device simulator.

Equivalent-Circuit Modelling of Chassis Radiator

2009 German Microwave Conference, 2009
The comparison of the characteristics of a flat dipole and the rectangular chassis eigen-mode leads to the concept of the chassis radiator as a flat dipole with completely filled, short-circuited terminal area. The equivalent circuit for the chassis radiator is derived from the flat dipole equivalent circuit by exclusion of the parasitic feed inductor ...

An Adaptive Thermal Equivalent Circuit Model for Estimating the Junction Temperature of IGBTs

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2019
Implementation of real-time health assessment and thermal management of insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) require thermal equivalent circuit models that can be used to predict the junction temperature of the modules.

Equivalent Circuit Model-Based RAS Design

2017
Specifically the EM absorbers are in demand for the frequency range 1-40 GHz, because of their requirement in electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and countermeasure to radar detection. In defence sector, stealth technology demands such EM absorbers towards radar cross section (RCS) reduction.Total absorption of impinging electromagnetic (EM ...
