An improved lumped element nonlinear circuit model for a circular CMUT cell [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Cataloged from PDF version of article. This paper describes a correction and an extension in the previously published large signal equivalent circuit model for a circular capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT) cell.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Fractional-Order Equivalent Circuit Modeling of Antennas—Part I: Modeling

open access: yesIEEE Access
This article introduces a new approach for devising accurate general equivalent circuit models of the input impedance of antennas. The major advance, compared to existing equivalent circuits models, consists in using fractional-order capacitances and ...

Linear circuit models for on-chip quantum electrodynamics

open access: yes, 2011
We present equivalent circuits that model the interaction of microwave resonators and quantum systems. The circuit models are derived from a general interaction Hamiltonian.

The intrinsic electrical equivalent circuit of a laser diode [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The basic electrical equivalent circuit of a laser diode is derived. The effects of spontaneous emission and self-pulsations are included. It is found that self-pulsations are represented by a negative resistance in the model.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Parameter Identification of Electrical Equivalent Circuits including Mass Transfer Parameters for the Selection of the Operating Frequencies of Pulsed PEM Water Electrolysis

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
This paper proposes a parameter identification method for a PEM electrolyzer electrical equivalent circuit for pulse electrolysis. Since general water electrolysis mainly uses DC currents, identifying equivalent circuit parameters using electrical ...

Equivalent Circuit for Magnetoelectric Read and Write Operations

open access: yes, 2018
We describe an equivalent circuit model applicable to a wide variety of magnetoelectric phenomena and use SPICE simulations to benchmark this model against experimental data. We use this model to suggest a different mode of operation where the "1" and "0'

Measurement-based modelling and validation of PV systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents the analysis and results of modelling of various photovoltaic (PV) systems. Two general models are discussed and presented: an analytical model and an equivalent circuit model, both formulated for main PV technologies currently ...
