Equivalent circuits have been found valuable in the solution of certain problems in that they simplify the analysis. Furthermore, equivalent circuits provide a means of replacing magnetic coupling with simple impedance links thereby permitting the use of the calculating board for solution.

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1968
The possibilities of using magnetic, instead of electric, equivalent circuits for eddy-current devices, which have recently been pointed out by Laithwaite, are here explored further. Couplings between distributed flux paths and windings can be expressed in terms of a generalised linkage parameter N, which is associated with flux linkage in electric ...

Equivalent Sequential Circuits
IRE Transactions on Circuit Theory, 1959Three types of sequential circuits are defined, two of which are synchronous and one of which is asynchronous. The concept of equivalent sequential circuits as discussed by Huffman, Mealy, and Moore is extended to circuits of different types. Transformation procedures are given for transforming a state table of one type into state tables of the other ...

Equivalent Circuits-2 Coupled Circuits
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1936An equivalent circuit to represent 2 coupled circuits having distributed self -and mutual impedance and admittance is developed in this paper for the general case, and modified for certain specific cases. The application of these equivalent circuits for representation of coupled power circuits or a coupled power circuit and ground wire or metallic ...

Transistor equivalent circuits
1996The first step in designing a transistor amplifier stage is to establish the D.C operating conditions by using a graphical method as shown in the last chapter. After this has been done, small signals which are applied to the input of a transistor circuit will be amplified with reasonable linearity.

Equivalent modulator circuits are developed in the form of linear resistance networks. They are equivalent in the sense that the current magnitude in any mesh of the network is equal to the current amplitude of a corresponding frequency component in the modulator.

Equivalent circuits in stability studies
Electrical Engineering, 1934Representation of ``receiving-end'' systems by simplified equivalent circuits, for use in steady state stability studies of electric power transmission systems, is discussed in this paper. Various methods of approximate representation are analyzed, compared, and evaluated.
