Scaling Analysis of Multilevel Polar Coded Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we analyze and prove the capacity-achieving property of the equivalent asymmetric channels of multilevel polar-coded modulation in view of the scaling assuming regime, which employ some techniques of symmetric channels.

Implications for Emotion: Using Anatomically Based Facial Coding to Compare Emoji Faces Across Platforms

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2021
Emoji faces, which are ubiquitous in our everyday communication, are thought to resemble human faces and aid emotional communication. Yet, few studies examine whether emojis are perceived as a particular emotion and whether that perception changes based ...

On the Girth of Tanner (3, 13) Quasi-Cyclic LDPC Codes

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Girth is an important structural property of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. Motivated by the works on the girth of Tanner (3, 5), (3, 7), (3, 11), and (5, 7) quasi-cyclic (QC) LDPC codes, we, in this paper, study the girth of Tanner (3, 13) QC ...

Quantum minimal surfaces from quantum error correction

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2022
We show that complementary state-specific reconstruction of logical (bulk) operators is equivalent to the existence of a quantum minimal surface prescription for physical (boundary) entropies.

Good Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill codes from the NTRU cryptosystem [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum
We introduce a new class of random Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill (GKP) codes derived from the cryptanalysis of the so-called NTRU cryptosystem. The derived codes are $good$ in that they exhibit constant rate and average distance scaling $\Delta \propto \sqrt{

Modified Nested Barker Codes for Ultra-Wideband Signal–Code Constructions

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Currently, various applications of ultra-wideband signal–code constructions are among the most vibrant technologies, being implemented in very different fields. The purpose of this research consists of analyzing Barker codes and searching for the optimal

Catalytic quantum error correction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We develop the theory of entanglement-assisted quantum error correcting (EAQEC) codes, a generalization of the stabilizer formalism to the setting in which the sender and receiver have access to pre-shared entanglement.

THE CONVOLUTIONAL CODESАNALYSIS TECHNIQUE ON THE OPTIMUM BLOCK CODES GROUNDS

open access: yesInformation and Telecommunication Sciences, 2014
The convolutional codes analysis and synthesis technique is proposed. This technique is optimal according to near Shannon's bound criterion and guarantees a given bit error rate from message source.

On linear equivalence and Phelps codes

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics of Communications, 2010
It is shown that all non-full-rank FRH-codes, a class of perfect codes we define in this paper, are linearly equivalent to perfect codes obtainable by Phelps' construction. Moreover, it is shown by an example that the class of perfect FRH-codes also contains perfect codes that are not obtainable by Phelps construction.

On the Distribution in Height of Base Shear Forces in Linear Static Analysis of Base-Isolated Structures

open access: yesBuildings, 2020
Although base isolation is nowadays a well-established seismic-protection technique for both buildings and bridges, and several issues are still open and attract the interest of the research community.
