THE CONCEPT OF EQUIVALENCE OF CLICHES AND STAMPS (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF RUSSIAN AND KOREAN OFFICIAL BUSINESS LANGUAGE)

The American Journal of Social Science and Education Innovations, 2023
In this paper we are interested in translation at the level of a word combination. A word combination can represent a semantic unity both at the level of language. The most striking example of such a translation is the translation of idiomatic or stable (phraseological) word combinations. The process of translation of official business texts is closely

Crack growth onset in thin aluminum sheets under mixed mode I/II loading: A new form of the Equivalent Material Concept

Thin-Walled Structures, 2019
Abstract Ductile failure of diagonally loaded square plate (DLSP) samples, created from Al 6061-T6 and Al 7075-T6 alloys with small thickness weakened by central cracks, is assessed theoretically and experimentally under combined in-plane loading. To provide different combinations of mode I and mode II loadings in the tests on DLSP, various crack ...

Elastic-plastic fracture analysis of notched Al 7075-T6 plates by means of the local energy combined with the equivalent material concept

Physical Mesomechanics, 2016
В статье проведен анализ разрушения тонких пластин алюминиевого сплава Al 7075-T6 с закругленными V-образными надрезами в условиях растяжения. Испытания на разрушение проводились на прямоугольных пластинах с отверстием в форме ромба с закругленными боковыми углами.

Fracture study of a ductile polymer-based nanocomposite weakened by blunt V-notches under mode I loading: Application of the Equivalent Material Concept

Theoretical and Applied Fracture Mechanics, 2018
Abstract The onset of fracture is studied in a ductile epoxy-based nanocomposite containing round-tip V-notches both experimentally and theoretically under pure mode I loading conditions. Mechanical properties of the nanocomposite containing 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 1 wt% multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are experimentally measured to find a desired ...

A successful combination of the equivalent material concept and the averaged strain energy density criterion for predicting crack initiation from blunt V-notches in ductile aluminum plates under mixed mode loading

Physical Mesomechanics, 2016
Crack initiation from blunt V-notch borders in ductile Al 6061-T6 plates is investigated experimentally and theoretically under mixed mode I/II loading. Experimental observations with naked eye during loading indicated large plastic deformations around the notch tip at the onset of crack initiation, demonstrating large-scale yielding failure regime for

Application of the concept of the criterion of equivalence of complex stress state to simple tension for assessing the fatigue resistance of structural materials. Part 1. Review of some experimental data with the preparation of the necessary information for subsequent use

Vestnik Mashinostroeniya, 2021
A brief overview of the features of the fatigue resistance of some steels is given with the selection of terms, concepts and numerical data necessary for the subsequent compilation and verification of the equivalence criterion in relation to assessing the ability of structural materials to resist fatigue for a long time under the action of certain ...

A Theoretical Approach to Matching Characteristics of a Novel Absorber Based on the Concept of Equivalent Transformation Method of Material Constant

IEICE Transactions on Electronics, 2006
Based on the concept of Equivalent Transformation Method of Material Constant (ETMMC), a thin and light weight EM-wave absorber is newly proposed. It becomes possible to merge both the competing characteristics of changing the matching frequency toward a higher frequency region by means of punching out small holes in the magnetic absorber and of ...

A computational approach based on the integration of the equivalent-eigenstrain concept with the eXtended Finite Element Method for general-shaped inclusions embedded in ceramic materials

2015
Tempering and firing practices decrease the strength of ceramic materials such as those used for traditional pottery, due to thermal expansion mismatch between temper particles and ceramic matrix [1]. We study stress concentration around sharp temper inclusions where damaged zones have a toroidal shape (Figure 1) [2].
