Equivalent plastic strain gradient crystal plasticity – Enhanced power law subroutine
GAMM-Mitteilungen, 2013AbstractA gradient crystal plasticity theory is presented including a defect energy based on the gradient of an equivalent plastic strain measure. Preserving the single crystal slip kinematics, the gradient hardening contribution models dislocation long range interactions adding a back‐stress term to the flow rule, similar to other gradient crystal ...

Simple formulas for calculating equivalent von Mises stress and von Mises effective plastic strain in an elastic–plastic ordinary peridynamic analysis are proposed. The equivalent von Mises stress is calculated by equating the deviatoric part of strain energy obtained from classical continuum mechanics and peridynamics.

The equivalence of stress- and strain-based plasticity theories
Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 1997Strain space plasticity theory has been advocated by a number of researchers as a viable alternative to its stress space counterpart. However, there appears to be a certain level of uncertainty about the equivalence of stress- and strain-based plasticity theories.

The equivalent plastic strain-dependent Yld2000-2d yield function and the experimental verification
Computational Materials Science, 2009Abstract An equivalent plastic strain-dependent anisotropic material model was developed for 5754O aluminum alloy sheet. In the developed model, the anisotropy coefficients for Barlat’s Yld2000-2d anisotropic yield function were established as a function of the equivalent plastic strain.

On the relation of equivalent plastic strain and springback in sheet draw bending
International Journal of Material Forming, 2008In this paper the relation between characteristic (equivalent plastic) strain and springback, taking a benchmark of NUMISHEET'93 2-D draw bending and using the commercial FEM code, ABAQUS, has been investigated. The simulations are preformed for three test materials: AA5754-O, AA6111-T4 and DP-Steel. The effect of process parameters such as blankholder
