Reed-solomon forward error correction (FEC) schemes, RFC 5510 [PDF]
This document describes a Fully-Specified Forward Error Correction (FEC) Scheme for the Reed-Solomon FEC codes over GF(2^^m), where m is in {2..16}, and its application to the reliable delivery of data objects on the packet erasure channel (i.e., a ...

Layered Steered Space-Time Codes Using Iterative Detection
This paper presents a novel multifunctional multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scheme that combines the benefits of the Vertical Bell Labs Layered Space-Time (VBLAST) scheme, of Space-Time Codes (STC) as well as of beamforming.

This study shows that in glioma stem cells (GSCs), RBM12 recruits ALKBH5 to remove m6A from SLC7A5 transcripts, thereby enhancing mRNA stability, which elevates large neutral amino acid (LNAA) levels and activates mTORC1, promoting GSC proliferation, self‐renewal, and tumor growth.

Erasure-correcting vs. erasure-detecting codes for the full-duplex binary erasure relay channel
International audienceIn this paper, the asymptotic iterative performance of block-Markov, sparse-graph codes over the binary erasure relay channel is investigated. Note that the full-duplex relay channel is a particular case of the considered model.

The KIF6‐RBP Complex Orchestrates mRNA Transport Required for Sperm Flagellar Assembly
Two homozygous deleterious KIF6 variants are identified in unrelated men with impaired sperm motility. Mouse models and multi‐omics analyses reveal that KIF6 cooperates with the RNA‐binding proteins FMRP and FXR1 to deliver mRNAs essential for sperm flagellar assembly, linking disrupted mRNA transport to reduced abundance of key structural and ...

High-Throughput Random Access via Codes on Graphs
Recently, contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA (CRDSA) has been introduced as a simple but effective improvement to slotted ALOHA. It relies on MAC burst repetitions and on interference cancellation to increase the normalized throughput of a ...

A CMOS‐compatible ferroelectric transistor harnesses the interplay between stable gate polarization memory and volatile non‐quasi‐static channel charge dynamics to emulate how biological synapses regulate their own plasticity. This brain‐inspired dual‐memory mechanism, realized in a single device, enables a physical reservoir computer that solves ...

GPU Erasure Coding for Campaign Storage
High-performance computing (HPC) demands high bandwidth and low latency in I/O performance leading to the development of storage systems and I/O software components that strive to provide greater and greater performance. However, capital and energy budgets along with increasing storage capacity requirements have motivated the search for lower cost ...

Capacitive, charge‐domain compute‐in‐memory (CIM) stores weights as capacitance, eliminating DC sneak paths and IR‐drop, yielding near‐zero standbypower. In this perspective, we present a device to systems level performance analysis of most promising architectures and predict apathway for upscaling capacitive CIM for sustainable edge computing ...
