TMAB modified NiFe2O4 nanoparticles for the Effective removal of Eriochrome Black-T azo dye

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia
The Eriochrome Black-T (EBT) azo dye was removed from aqueous solution using TMAB (tetramethyl ammonium bromide) stabilised NiFe2O4 (TMAB@NFO) nanoparticles, which have been synthesized through polymeric precursor method. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) were used to analyse the ...

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 52, December 29, 2025.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Thermodynamic And Kinetic Of Eriochrome Black-T Adsorption Onto Yemeni Palm-Date Stones

open access: yes, 2021
Removal of eriochrome black-T (EB-T) dye from aqueous solutions was performed by adsorption onto Yemeni palmdate stones. The adsorption isotherm was found to follow the Langmuir model. Two simplified kinetic models including pseudo-first order and pseudo-

Adsorptive removal of anionic dye from aqueous solutions using powdered and calcined vegetables wastes as low-cost adsorbent

open access: yesArab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 2018
In this study, we describe a behaviour comparison between powdered and calcined adsorbents prepared from vegetables waste of Persea species to remove Eriochrome Black T as anionic dye from aqueous solutions. Potential capabilities of these two adsorbents

Milliwatt‐Scale Moisture‐Induced Power Generation via Cation Intercalation in Sodium Vanadium Oxide Nanobelts

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 47, November 27, 2025.
This study presents a high‐performance moisture‐induced power generator (MPG) that integrates a LiCl‐containing hydrogel, an aluminum sheet, and NaV3O₈ nanobelts. The device sustains stable moisture and ion concentration gradients while preventing charge accumulation, resulting in record‐high performance with an open‐circuit voltage of 1.64 V, a short ...

Preparation and characterization of chitosan extracted from shrimp shells waste and chitosan film: application for Eriochrome black T removal from aqueous solutions

open access: yesApplied Water Science, 2019
In this paper, chitosan (CS) was successfully extracted from shrimp shells waste at two deacetylation temperatures (90 °C and 40 °C). The obtained chitosan at 90 °C showed better physicochemical properties compared to the one prepared at 40 °C with a ...

Broad‐Spectrum Antimicrobial and Antibiofilm Activities of Halogenated Anilines Against Uropathogenic Escherichia coli and ESKAPE Pathogens

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 18, Issue 5, May 2025.
This study evaluates the antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities of halogen‐substituted aniline derivatives, 4‐bromo‐3‐chloroaniline (4B3CA) and 3,5‐dibromoaniline (3,5‐DBA), against uropathogenic E. coli (UPEC) and some ESKAPE pathogens, with MICs of 200 and 100 μg/mL, respectively, and a common biofilm IC50 of 10 μg/mL.
