Distribution of eriophyoid mites (Acari: Eriophyoidea) on coniferous trees

Experimental and Applied Acarology, 2008
The aim of the paper was to determine the infestation parameters and species composition of eriophyoid mites for different parts of Norway spruce and Scots pine as well as for different age groups of the trees. The observations on the occurrence of the mites were conducted in 2004 and 2005 in 4 locations distributed in various regions of Poland ...

Three newAceriaspecies (Acari: Eriophyoidea) from Turkey

International Journal of Acarology, 2006
Abstract Turkish populations of eriophyid mites infesting Malvaceae, Asteraceae and Caryophyllaceae were examined. Analyses of morphometric data, induced symptoms, and comparisons to the morphology and descriptions of known species indicated presence of three new species which are described and illustrated. These are: Aceria egmirae n. sp. from Althaea

[GALLOGENESIS INDUCED BY ERIOPHYOIDS (ACARIFORMES: ERIOPHYOIDEA)].

Parazitologiia, 2016
Eriophyoid mites are a group of phytoparasites of high economic importance due to their ability to transmit phytopathogens and cause the development of various plant malformations including galls. Chemical compounds of mite saliva injected into plant cells and the reaction of the plant cell genome play the crucial role in the gall formation process ...

Genome-wide species delimitation and quantification of the extent of introgression in eriophyoid mite Epitrimerus sabinae complex (Acariformes: Eriophyoidea).

Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution
Species complex hinders the exploration of terrestrial species diversity, particularly in small arthropod lineages that are morphologically indistinguishable from each other.
