Synchronizable error-correcting codes
A new technique for correcting synchronization errors in the transmission of discrete-symbol information is developed. The technique can be applied to any t-additive-error-correcting Bose—Chaudhuri—Hocquenghem code, to provide protection against synchronization errors. The synchronization error is corrected at the first complete received word after the

Binary error correcting network codes [PDF]
We consider network coding for networks experiencing worst-case bit-flip errors, and argue that this is a reasonable model for highly dynamic wireless network transmissions. We demonstrate that in this setup prior network error-correcting schemes can be arbitrarily far from achieving the optimal network throughput.

A McEliece cryptosystem using permutation codes
This paper is an attempt to build a new public-key cryptosystem, similar to the McEliece cryptosystem, using permutation error-correcting codes. We study a public-key cryptosystem built using two permutation error-correcting codes.

High dimensional error-correcting codes [PDF]
In this paper we construct multidimensional codes with high dimension. The codes can correct high dimensional errors which have the form of either small clusters, or confined to an area with a small radius. We also consider small number of errors in a small area. The clusters which are discussed are mainly spheres such as semi-crosses and crosses. Also

Error Correcting Codes with Mathematica [PDF]
The author (with Kenneth Hulth) got the idea to develop a nonstandard, methodical-oriented course where hands-on sessions could add substantial understanding in the introduction of mentioned mathematical concepts. The package in MATHEMATICA in the field "Coding Theory" was developed for course "Error-Correcting codes with MATHEMATICA", for students on ...

Error-correcting codes for fermionic quantum simulation
Utilizing the framework of $\mathbb{Z}_2$ lattice gauge theories in the context of Pauli stabilizer codes, we present methodologies for simulating fermions via qubit systems on a two-dimensional square lattice. We investigate the symplectic automorphisms

Nonadditive Quantum Error-Correcting Code [PDF]
We report the first nonadditive quantum error-correcting code, namely, a $((9,12,3))$ code which is a 12-dimensional subspace within a 9-qubit Hilbert space, that outperforms the optimal stabilizer code of the same length by encoding more levels while correcting arbitrary single-qubit errors.

Majorana dimers and holographic quantum error-correcting codes
Holographic quantum error-correcting codes have been proposed as toy models that describe key aspects of the anti-de Sitter/conformal field theory (AdS/CFT) correspondence. In this work, we introduce a versatile framework of Majorana dimers capturing the
