Quantum error correction under numerically exact open-quantum-system dynamics
The known quantum error-correcting codes are typically built on approximative open-quantum-system models such as Born-Markov master equations. However, it is an open question how such codes perform in actual physical systems that, to some extent ...

A Novel Error Correction Approach to Improve Standard Point Positioning of Integrated BDS/GPS
To improve the standard point positioning (SPP) accuracy of integrated BDS (BeiDou Navigation Satellite System)/GPS (Global Positioning System) at the receiver end, a novel approach based on Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) error correction recurrent neural

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Analog quantum error correction
Quantum error-correction routines are developed for continuous quantum variables such as position and momentum. The result of such analog quantum error correction is the construction of composite continuous quantum variables that are largely immune to ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Deep learning phase error correction for cerebrovascular 4D flow MRI
Background phase errors in 4D Flow MRI may negatively impact blood flow quantification. In this study, we assessed their impact on cerebrovascular flow volume measurements, evaluated the benefit of manual image-based correction, and assessed the ...

Quantum error correction may delay, but also cause, entanglement sudden death
Dissipation may cause two initially entangled qubits to evolve into a separable state in a finite time. This behavior is called entanglement sudden death (ESD). We study to what extent quantum error correction can combat ESD.
