Inverse Identification of Energy‐Dependent Laser Absorptivity in NiTi Laser Powder‐Bed Fusion via Calibrated Melt Pool Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Error-Free Transformation in Rounding Mode toward Zero

Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2009
In this paper, we provide new error-free transformations for the sum and the product of two floating-point numbers. These error-free transformations are well suited for the CELL processor. We prove that these transformations are error-free, and we perform numerical experiments on the CELL processor comparing these new error-free transformations with ...

Error-free transformations of matrix multiplication by using fast routines of matrix multiplication and its applications

Numerical Algorithms, 2011
The authors develop a fast and accurate method to evaluate matrix products error free. An error free splitting of floating point numbers with regards to number product is generalized to accurate dot products of vectors and error free matrix products.
