Some error analysis on virtual element methods
, 2017Some error analyses on virtual element methods (VEMs) including inverse inequalities, norm equivalence, and interpolation error estimates are developed for polygonal meshes, each element of which admits a virtual quasi-uniform triangulation.

A realization of the discrete Fourier transform using the ADPCM as the analog-to-digital conversion scheme is presented. Quantitative analysis is given for the output noise due to truncation error, roundoff error, input quantization, and due to finite bit representation of coefficients.

Consider a simple experiment comparing the effect of two drugs on heart rate. The object of the experiment is to discover whether heart rate is affected by one drug more than another. To do this, we choose a random sample of the population, give half the patients one drug, and the other half of the patients get the other drug.

Language Learning, 1974
Presently, a number of proponents of an error analysis approach to the investigation of 2nd language learning argue that contrastive analysis (CA) apriori is inadequate as an account of target language learning problems. They claim that the only tenable version of CA is an aposteriori approach, i.e. CA in just those areas that have been proven by error

The sources of error in the determination of residual stresses using neutron diffraction arise both from normal experimental uncertainties and from some inherent uncertainties in the nature of the measurements themselves. This presentation is aimed at provoking discussion firstly of errors and uncertainties in strain determination including:- 1.

With increasing IC process variation and increased operating speed, it is more likely that even subtle defects will lead to the malfunctioning of a circuit. Various fault models, such as the transition fault model and the path-delay model, have been used to aid delay defect detection.
