Quantum variational learning for quantum error-correcting codes [PDF]
Quantum error correction is believed to be a necessity for large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computation. In the past two decades, various constructions of quantum error-correcting codes (QECCs) have been developed, leading to many good code families ...

On the number of error correcting codes
AbstractWe show that for a fixed $q$ , the number of $q$ -ary $t$ -error correcting codes of length $n$ is at most $2^{(1 + o(1)) H_q(n,t)}$ for all $t \leq (1 - q^{-1})n - 2\sqrt{n \log n}$ , where $H_q(n, t) = q^n/ V_q(n,t)$ is the Hamming bound and $V_q(n,t)$ is the cardinality of the radius $t$ Hamming ball.

M-theory cosmology, octonions, error correcting codes
We study M-theory compactified on twisted 7-tori with G 2-holonomy. The effective 4d supergravity has 7 chiral multiplets, each with a unit logarithmic Kähler potential.

Error Correction Code Transformer
Error correction code is a major part of the communication physical layer, ensuring the reliable transfer of data over noisy channels. Recently, neural decoders were shown to outperform classical decoding techniques. However, the existing neural approaches present strong overfitting due to the exponential training complexity, or a restrictive inductive

Error-correcting codes and genetics
The conservation of genetic information through the ages can not be explained unless one assumes the existence of genomic error-correcting codes, our main hypothesis.

Subclass problem-dependent design for error-correcting output codes [PDF]
A common way to model multiclass classification problems is by means of Error-Correcting Output Codes (ECOCs). Given a multiclass problem, the ECOC technique designs a code word for each class, where each position of the code identifies the membership of

Stabilizer Codes and Quantum Error Correction [PDF]
Controlling operational errors and decoherence is one of the major challenges facing the field of quantum computation and other attempts to create specified many-particle entangled states.

Discriminant ECOC: a heuristic method for application dependent design of error correcting output codes [PDF]
We present a heuristic method for learning error correcting output codes matrices based on a hierarchical partition of the class space that maximizes a discriminative criterion. To achieve this goal, the optimal codeword separation is sacrificed in favor
