Error-correction Mechanism Tests for Cointegration in a Single-equation Framework [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, 1998
A new test is proposed for cointegration in a single-equation framework where the regressors are weakly exogenous for the parameters of interest. The test is denoted as an error-correction mechanism (ECM) test and is based upon the ordinary least squares

Error correction with feedback for asymmetric errors

Proceedings. International Symposium on Information Theory, 2005. ISIT 2005., 2005
This paper introduces a type-I hybrid ARQ scheme for the Z-channel, based on a class of codes which can correct t asymmetric errors and further detect d (d > t) more. The specific parameters of the ARQ schemes are considered and an upper bound on the probability of undetected error is derived.

Ultrafast Error Correction Codes for Double Error Detection/Correction

2016 12th European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC), 2016
Register protection against soft errors remains a major concern for deep sub-micron systems due to technology scaling. Error Correction Codes (ECCs) improve protection at the price of data redundancy. Reducing such redundancy is of upmost importance for memories, although it is less important in registers. A major requirement for register protection is

Error Correction Capability of Random Network Error Correction Codes

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2007
In this paper, we study the error correction capability of random linear network error correction codes (Z. Zhang, 2006). We derive bounds on the probability mass function of the minimum distance of a random network error correction code and the field size required for the existence of a network error correction code with a given degradation, which is ...

PIV error correction

Experiments in Fluids, 2000
A non-post-interrogation method of reducing subpixel errors and eliminating spurious vectors from particle image velocimetry (PIV) results is presented. Unlike methods that rely on the accuracy or similarity of neighboring vectors, errors are eliminated before correlation information is discarded using available spatial and/or temporal data.

Error Detecting and Error Correcting Codes

Bell System Technical Journal, 1950
The author was led to the study given in this paper from a consideration of large scale computing machines in which a large number of operations must be performed without a single error in the end result. This problem of “doing things right” on a large scale is not essentially new; in a telephone central office, for example, a very large number of ...

Correction of synchronization errors with burst-error-correcting cyclic codes

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1969
It is shown that every linear cyclic b -burst-error-correcting code over any finite field can be modified to correct up to (b-2) symbols of synchronization slippage without additional redundancy, while maintaining its additive error-correcting capability in the absence of synchronization errors.
