TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Correction Method of Two-phase Flow Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop in Micro-channel Parallel Flow Condenser

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2020
Two categories of correction method for two-phase flow condensation heat transfer and pressure drop were compared for a distributed parameter model of a microchannel condenser with R134a as the refrigerant. The Cross-repeated-testing nonlinear correction

Threshold Effects in Multivariate Error Correction Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We propose a testing procedure for assessing the presence of threshold effects in nonstationary vector autoregressive models with or without cointegration. Our approach involves first testing whether the long-run impact matrix characterizing the VECM type representation of the VAR switches according to the magnitude of some threshold variable and is ...

The effect of salubrinal on the endoplasmic reticulum stress pathway in heat‐stressed spermatogonial cells in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigates the protective role of salubrinal against heat‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in mouse spermatogenic cells (GC1 and GC2). By modulating the ER stress pathway, salubrinal alleviates cellular stress and supports spermatogenic cell survival, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic candidate for heat‐related infertility.

Thresholds for Linear Optics Quantum Computing with Photon Loss at the Detectors

open access: yes, 2005
We calculate the error threshold for the linear optics quantum computing proposal by Knill, Laflamme and Milburn [Nature 409, pp. 46--52 (2001)] under an error model where photon detectors have efficiency
