Onset of Scrambling as a Dynamical Transition in Tunable-Range Quantum Circuits
In a fast-scrambling many-body quantum system, information is spread and entanglement is built up on a time scale that grows logarithmically with the system size. This is of fundamental interest in understanding the dynamics of many-body systems, as well

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

The Strongly Asynchronous Massive Access Channel
This paper considers the Strongly Asynchronous, Slotted, Discrete Memoryless, Massive Access Channel (SAS-DM-MAC) in which the number of users, the number of messages, and the asynchronous window length grow exponentially with the coding blocklength with

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Error exponents for one-bit watermarking [PDF]
Quantization index modulation (QIM) is a powerful host-interference rejecting method for data hiding. The paper applies QIM to one-bit watermarking and proposes a simple but powerful watermark detector. We derive lower bounds on the error exponents for the detector under a quadratic distortion constraint for the watermarker and additive white Gaussian ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
