On Codes and Learning With Errors over Function Fields
It is a long standing open problem to find search to decision reductions for structured versions of the decoding problem of linear codes. Such results in the lattice-based setting have been carried out using number fields: Polynomial-LWE, Ring-LWE, Module-LWE and so on. We propose a function field version of the LWE problem. This new framework leads to

Error Field Correction in ITER [PDF]
A new method for correcting magnetic field errors in the ITER tokamak is developed using the Ideal Perturbed Equilibrium Code (IPEC). The dominant external magnetic field for driving islands is shown to be localized to the outboard midplane for three ITER equilibria that represent the projected range of operational scenarios.

A step toward density benchmarking—The energy-relevant “mean field error”
Since the development of generalized gradient approximations in the 1990s, approximations based on density functional theory have dominated electronic structure theory calculations.

Estimation of the Constant Measurement Error of a Stable Random Field [PDF]
This paper considers a symmetric harmonizable stable random field when observations of this process are contaminated by additive constant measurement error. We give a consistent estimate of this error and its rate of convergence. We study and improve the

Error Analysis of Integrated Absorbance for TDLAS in a Nonuniform Flow Field
As an effective optical diagnosis method, tunable diode-laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) has increasingly moved to examine nonuniform flows, such as two-dimensional combustion diagnosis.

Evaluation of magnetic field error in ExtendedEBIS
The upgrade of the EBIS, called ExtendedEBIS, is now in progress in Brookhaven National Laboratory. Two 5T-superconducting solenoids have been placed in series with 200 mm distance from each other for higher trap capacity and production of polarized 3He ions. Since the two superconducting solenoids are used, the field error is expected to be larger. In

An Analytical Model for Understanding Active Directivity Noise Control with Near-Field Error Sensing
Recent research shows that a directional quiet zone from near to far field can be created with a near-field microphone array. However, there is no systematic theoretical analysis of this error-sensing strategy.

Metrology of Electromagnetic Intensity Measurement in Near Field
This paper is dealing with measurement of a near-field strength in the region around a source, which is supply of radiation. Electromagnetic field is distributed inhomogeneously in this case.
