Porosity Engineering of MXene Architectures: Toward High‐Performance Aqueous Electrochemical Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically summarizes recent advances in porosity engineering of MXenes, with a focused discussion on their structure‐governed energy storage properties. A critical analysis of structure–property relationships is presented across alkali‐ion batteries, multivalent‐ion batteries, and supercapacitors.

Mathematic Model And Error Analysis of Moving-base Rotating Accelerometer Gravity Gradiometer

open access: yes, 2019
In moving-base gravity gradiometry, accelerometer mounting errors and mismatch cause a rotating accelerometer gravity gradiometer (RAGG) to besusceptible to its own motion. In this study, we comprehensively consider accelerometer mounting errors, circuit

Tough, Ductile, and Strong Hard‐Soft Cementitious Composite Enabled by Multi‐Material Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Experimental Study on Flexural Behavior of Box Floors with Orthogonal Rib Beams Made of Poplar Laminated Veneer Lumber

open access: yesBioResources, 2022
This study examined the flexural behavior of the poplar laminated veneer lumber (LVL) box floor with orthogonal rib beams. Four 3.6 m × 4.8 m box floor samples made of poplar LVL orthogonal rib beams and oriented strand board (OSB) plates were tested ...

Stall Pattern Avoidance in Polynomial Product Codes

open access: yes, 2016
Product codes are a concatenated error-correction scheme that has been often considered for applications requiring very low bit-error rates, which demand that the error floor be decreased as much as possible.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Improving 3D-Turbo Code's BER Performance with a BICM System over Rayleigh Fading Channel [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2016
Classical Turbo code suffers from high error floor due to its small Minimum Hamming Distance (MHD). Newly-proposed 3D-Turbo code can effectively increase the MHD and achieve a lower error floor by adding a rate-1 post encoder.

Syntactic Complexity of Finite/Cofinite, Definite, and Reverse Definite Languages [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We study the syntactic complexity of finite/cofinite, definite and reverse definite languages. The syntactic complexity of a class of languages is defined as the maximal size of syntactic semigroups of languages from the class, taken as a function of the
