Error Floor Analysis of Irregular Repetition ALOHA

open access: yesICC 2022 - IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2022
With the rapid expansion of the Internet of Things, the efficient sharing of the wireless medium by a large amount of simple transmitters is becoming essential. Scheduling-based solutions are inefficient for this setting, where small data units are broadcast sporadically by terminals that most of the time are idle. Modern random access has embraced the

Low error floor LT coding algorithm by using fixed-length node classification window [PDF]

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2021
To solve the problem of high error floor for LT codes in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels, an improved coding scheme was designed.A fixed-length classification window was used to sort out the information nodes with relatively small degrees ...

Quasi-cyclic generalized ldpc codes with low error floors [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2007
In this paper, a novel methodology for designing structured generalized low-density parity-check (G-LDPC) codes is presented. The proposed design results in quasi-cyclic G-LDPC codes for which efficient encoding is feasible through shift-register-based circuits. The structure imposed on the bipartite graphs, together with the choice of simple component

Mechanical Analysis of the Failure Characteristics of Stope Floor Induced by Mining and Confined Aquifer

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
Mining above confined aquifer has become an important task for water inrush prevention in China. To study the failure characteristics of stope floor along the strike, a mechanical model under combined action of mining and confined aquifer was constructed,

Constellation labeling maps for low error floors [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2007
A constellation labeling map is the assignment of a bit pattern to each symbol in a signal-set constellation. In a system with iterative decoding and demodulation, the error floor of the bit error rate is highly dependent on the labeling map. A simple class of labeling maps that significantly lower the error floors is presented.

Analysis of power–accuracy trade‐off in digital signal processing applications using low‐power approximate adders

open access: yesIET Computers & Digital Techniques, 2021
In recent years, approximate circuit design targeting the error‐tolerant applications has gained significance. In this study, the authors propose a metric that ranks a stand‐alone approximate adder in terms of power savings obtained for a given mean ...

Effects of transport time and feeding type on weight loss, meat quality and behavior of broilers [PDF]

open access: yesAnimal Bioscience, 2022
Objective The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal time of transportation of floor-feed and scatter-feed broilers. Methods Eighty healthy Arbor Acres (AA) broilers (21-day-old, 624.4 g, male, standard error = 6.65) were selected and randomly

Prediction of elevation of substantial fluctuation in coal seam floor based on surface spline function and its derivative

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
With the increasing depth of coal mining, the geological stress and structure becomes more and more complex. The elevation of No.8 coal floor significantly undulates in the studied coal mine.
