A robust adaptive meta-sample generation method for few-shot time series prediction
The research and exploration of time series prediction (TSP) have attracted much attention recently. Researchers can achieve effective TSP based on the deep learning model and a large amount of data.

Neighborhood Socioeconomic Status and Short‐Term Functional Outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Objective Individuals with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can accumulate functional status (FS) impairment. We evaluated the association between neighborhood socioeconomic disadvantage, as measured by the Area Deprivation Index (ADI), and FS in a national SLE sample.

The Probability of Multiple Correct Packet Reception in Coded Synchronous Frequency-Hopped Spread-Spectrum Networks [PDF]
In this paper we present a computationally efficient method of evaluating the probability of multiple correct packet reception in coded synchronous frequency-hopped spread-spectrum (FHSS) networks.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Turbo Decoding and Detection for Wireless Applications [PDF]
A historical perspective of turbo coding and turbo transceivers inspired by the generic turbo principles is provided, as it evolved from Shannon’s visionary predictions.

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Analytic expression for the exact bit error probability of the (7,5) convolutional code [PDF]
Analytic expression for the exact bit error probability of the (7,5) convolutional code was discussed. Recursive systematic encodes which became especially important as component encoders in concatenated coding schemes were also studied.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Punctured Low-Bias Codes Behave Like Random Linear Codes
Punctured low-bias codes behave like random linear codes, Discrete Analysis 2024:4, 37 pp. A binary _error-correcting code_, often referred to simply as a code, is a subset $A$ of $\{0,1\}^n$ with the property that any two distinct elements of $A$ are ...
