Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

High Accuracy Compensation of Straightness Errors in Linear Guideways Under Controlled Thermal and Vibrational Loads

open access: yesApplied Sciences
On-machine measurement is a highly effective approach for enhancing machining accuracy and efficiency. A critical factor influencing the accuracy of on-machine measurements is the straightness error of the linear guideway.

On the Reduction of Errors in DNA Computation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
In this paper, we discuss techniques for reducing errors in DNA computation. We investigate several methods for achieving acceptable overall error rates for a computation using basic operations that are error prone.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Research on Performance Prediction Model of Impeller-Type Breather

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
To investigate the characteristics of separation and resistance of an impeller-type breather in an aeroengine lubrication system, orthogonal test design is used in calculation of the operating condition.

The cyclicality of separation and job finding rates [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper uses CPS gross flow data, adjusted for margin error and time aggregation error, to analyze the business cycle dynamics of separation and job finding rates and to quantify their contributions to overall unemployment variability.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Influencing factors of submunition separation parameters in gas-airbag separation device

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao
In order to explore the influence factors of submunition separation parameters on a gas-airbag separation device, its model was established using the solid propellant as fuel and the gas generator as power device.
